FAQ
- Question: Why should I invest in a website for my business?
-
Answer:
A business web site is a way of advertising the products and services
that your business provides. A website also provides your customers
or potential customers with contact and ordering information should
they decide to purchase something from you. Furthermore a business
web site is a persistant form of advertisement. It can complement
or eliminate your need to send out mass mailings via postal delivery.
For example: lets assume you own a take out restuarant. One of the
established methods of advertising for this type of business is to
print out several thousand promotional menus and distribute them to
the target community via US mail. The cost of printing and mailing
thousands of promotional menus could cost thousands of dollars! Now
if the same take out restuarant had its own website it could potentially
reach a much larger audience for less. While print advertising is
fixed; Web advertising is much more flexible. If your restuarant has
a change in hours or pricing, it is much easier to change the information
on a website then it is to change information that is printed out.

Question: How much does it cost?
-
Answer:
The actual cost of producing and maintaining a website varies according
to the pricing of the web hosting service and the fee of your web
design consultant. Domain name registration typically costs between
$8.95 to $30 per name per year. The web hosting costs range from $0-$1000+
per month. I prefer to use Godaddy.com for both Domain name registration
and webhosting because their pricing is affordable and their service
is stable.

Question: My relative says that he can create my website for free. Why do I
need you?
-
Answer:
If your relative is willing and able to produce the website for your
business for "free". Then you can certainly have them do
it. However you get what you pay for. Can you trust your relative
to keep the commitment to produce and deliver? Can you count on them
to maintain the site should you need to update the information on
it? Finally will their work be appropriate for representing your business?
